Edible Landscaping

By looking at this photo can you guess the geographic location of this property? Believe it or not, it's located in one of the most harsh, desolate arid regions in the U.S. ; the Mojave Desert in Twentynine Palms, California. The picture was taken in October 2012. Every plant and tree that you can see in this landscape is edible, and nearly every planting at this property is either edible or it has another essential purpose.

Edible Landscaping is the way of the future, and it's unfortunate that it's not in the now , because NOW is when our society is on the verge of an economic and industrial meltdown.    The upcoming article  titled "Edible Landscaping" will explore how to survive an economic meltdown by growing your own food, and how to maximize your efforts with dual or muti-purpose planning in mind.
